We’re spending this #GivingTuesday thinking about Common Good City Farm!
HipCityVeg’s ongoing partnership with Common Good City Farm is part of our commitment to plant-based living, from seed to sliders. It’s easy to get behind this urban farm’s pledge to nourish and educate its neighbors about growing vegetables and healthy eating—especially the kids, who can’t get enough of gardening, cooking, and farm fresh produce.
Just last month, we had the opportunity to visit the farm and get our hands dirty! Our founder Nicole Marquis and other members of the HipCity team bundled up for a chilly morning at the farm in Washington DC.
We helped them prepare the vegetable beds for winter by lining them with cardboard and mulch, so they’ll have lots of fresh herbs & produce in the spring. Afterwards, we refueled together over a plant-based lunch from HipCityVeg, and homemade mint & nettle tea from the farm.
How you can give too!
This year, we’re raising & donating $10,000 to support Common Good City Farm’s mission. We continue to raise funds for CGCF through initiatives like Double the Good (get your tumbler here!) and today on Giving Tuesday, we will match our customers’ in-store donations up to $2,000. Join us in our commitment to supporting our planet and sustainable agriculture by visiting a HipCityVeg and donating to Common Good City Farm today!
